DIY Photoshoot

While I was pregnant me and mark talked about having a professional photoshoot done while I had my big belly so we could always have the pictures to look back on. Now while I love being in front of a camera mark isn't too keen so I kept putting of booking a shoot and finally Paige was born and it was just too late. I am very glad I took my belly pictures each week so I can always look back on them!

So I decided that we defiantly had to have some pictures done of Paige while she was still little. I was looking online at places and couldn't quite decide on somewhere so I thought I would give it a try myself with the intention that if they turned out rubbish it didn't really matter and we would find a professional to take some better ones.

Well over the weekend I had a go. I set up some white blankets in the bedroom near the window to get as much natural light as possible and off I went with our little camera. I loved every second and Paige seemed to enjoy herself too, she must take after mummy and likes to be in front of the camera :D

I wish we could afford a better camera and a better set up so we could get even better pictures but I am pretty pleased with how they turned out.

What do you think?

Did you have a professional photography session with your little one? How was it?

Thanks for reading

  1. You have taken some gorgeous photos and it helps that she is such a cutie! We tried something similar with Dylan ( http://www.themummyadventure.com/2012/02/day-7-photoshoot.html ) and I think it is a lovely idea. When she is older you will get the best smiles and you will be able to capture them better than a photographer. You have made me want to take some more now!

    1. Thank you. Hopefully with some more practice I will get better!! Plus i love taking pictures of her :) Awww so cute, I just looked at the ones you did. And you should take some more. I want to see them hehe Xx
