Falling Back

As most people will know the clocks go back this Sunday... meaning we get an extra hour in bed. Well some of you will. Me on the other hand probably won't. 

Paige is an earlier riser... 5:30am early!!!

I would prefer a 7am wake up, I can deal with a 6/6:30am wake up call but I must admit 5:30am wake ups kill me!! She has times when she will sleep in until 6am or in fact 6:30am but they are quite rare.

I am dreading the clocks going back and Paige waking up at 4:30am all bright eyed and bushy tailed.

So I need some help...

What can I do, if anything, to help her sleep longer? Should I give her a later bedtime? Should I just leave her and deal with it? Will she adapt on her own?

  1. Hmmm. Do you use black out blinds? Does she have a comforter of any kind? Have you tried putting an item of your own clothing over the mattress so that your familiar smell helps to settle her? Have you tried a sound and light machine? They can be great self settlers, especially the voice activated ones. Have you read The Baby Whisperer? Her pick up put down technique saved my sanity on many an ocassion... will keep thinking :)
