When Is The Right Time?

When is the right time to have another baby?

I love being a mummy so much and if we were blessed with another child I would be over the moon but when is the right time?
Paige - 1 day old!
If you have read my blog for a while you know that it's took us 16 long months to conceive Paige. In some ways we are very lucky and I understand that as sometimes people can't have children or need extra help. But those 16 months were hard.

Some people know they want babies close in age and that is fine but I think I'd like a couple of years between Paige and our next baby if we have one. That way I can enjoy Paige growing up a little more.

But apart of me thinks what if it takes us that long to conceive again or longer?!

I guess I'm a big believer in things happening for a reason. I honestly believe this and that is what kept me going through the 16 months we tried. So if we so have another baby it will happen when it happens I guess.

When did you feel the time was right or are you still waiting?

Thanks for reading,

Nicola Xx

  1. I have a 5.5 year age gap between mine, bit larger gap than i anticipated but i really like it. Took me 9months to get pregnant with my first and conceived the first month of trying with my second so its really hard to predict when to try for a second or third etc My only advice is if you want one and you feel ready don't let your previous experience worry you it could be completely different this time round :-)

  2. I have a 3 year age gap between 1 and 2, a 15 month age gap between 2 and 3 and another 3 year age gap between 3 and 4.
I found the small age gap easier to manage and loved having 2 little ones around. The 3 year age gap made me feel like a new mummy all over again!
You will know when you are ready to add to your family, im done now with my little troop and each time was definatly the righttime :)

    1. I have an 18 month age gap.
It was planned, mainly because I'd like 3 or 4 and I'm 31 now.
I think there's pros and cons to getting on with it/waiting. My children's bond 3m and 21m is AMAZING to watch. But two in nappies is hard work! xx

  4. I wasn't concerned about having a short age gap but also knew it might take a whole as it took us 4 years to get H. It took a month with J! I have found the age gap v hard but everyone is different.

    1. It's amazing how different things can be for the second time getting pregnant. I've heard a lot of people say it didn't take long after taking a while for the first x
