Review - Sprogs Inc

Before I start with my review a little about Sprogs Inc in their own words...

''Sprogs Inc is a new kid on the block, having launched officially in May 2013. We’re an on-line children’s boutique offering clothes, shoes, toys and gifts for children aged 0 to 8 years. We stock British, European and American brands (whatever takes our fancy) and we also produce our own label clothes. We are aiming in particular to support emerging British designers like Jessie and James (ex Vivienne Westwood designers), Grubbies (nostalgic dungarees) and Corby Tindersticks (quirky illustration), to name but a few. Our list of designers will be growing significantly over the coming year and our products hopefully suit every budget.''

I'll be honest, like most people I hadn't heard of Sprogs Inc so when they advertised on twitter asking for mummy bloggers to try out there clothes I sent a tweet back and couldn't wait for Paige to try the clothes out. I'm always looking for new, exciting brands to try out.

My first impressions of the clothes was great. The look and feel great. The idea of the capsule set is that each piece can be mixed and matched. In the set you get a playsuit, a top, leggings and a reversible skirt. My favourite piece is the playsuit. It has a gorgeous, very colourful Spike Poodle print on and screams summer. It also has cute little pink ruffles and fastens at the back with buttons making it easy to get on and off.

The top and leggings are cute. Light purple in colour, again with the same ruffles which are on the playsuit just in different colours. They are soft and seem very comfortable. They leggings are a little big on Paige as we were sent age 18-24months so Paige would have some growing room, after all you want clothes to last as long as possible.

The skirt is probaby my least favourite item. I think it is lovely but the fact that is reversible doesn't quite work for me. The first thing that doesn't work is the labels. When the plain side is showing they are hidden but when the poodle side is showing you can see the labels too and I guess you could cut them out but with it being a reversible skirt I would of thought that this should of been thought of before the skirt was made.

The clothes wash well and feel very good quality. They are priced at £39 but are currently reduced to £27.30. They are available in sizes 12-18m up to 6-7 years. I don't think we would of spent that amount on these items as I don't think they mix and match well with other clothes Paige owns. I do love the playsuit and think the top and leggings will get a lot of wear out of them. I haven't pictured Paige wearing them because of the hot weather I didn't think it was fair to make her pose in a long sleeved top and leggings.

You have a chance to win one of 20 sets of these clothes in a prize draw.  All you have to do is click through to the Sprogs Inc website and sign up the newsletter HERE. The closing date is Friday 19th July.

Thanks for reading,

Nicola Xx

  1. The little romper suit in the first pictures is lovely - very different from what you see in high street shops
