Review - Munchkin Bento Mealtime Set & Snack Catcher

Bento Mealtime Set

The Click Lock Bento Mealtime Set from Munchkin is a little lunch box inspired by the Japanese 'Bento'. It keeps food separate and fresh. The unique click lock ensures that you have a secure seal to ensure the food stays fresh and that mess or spills happen. The set comes with eight separate pieces including two smaller removable containers and a knife and fork. The set can also be popped in the microwave and the freezer. This makes the set perfect for family days pout, nursery or just visiting the family. The set is £7.99. For more information and stockists please se the Munchkin website www.munchkin.com.

We love the bento set. It is so convenient, easy to use and easy to clean. I love the two little sections. They are perfect for fruit or veg and because they are removable you don't have to use them. If pone day you only need to use you can easily remove the other one. I also love the fork and spoon. Paige is 14 months now and is loving feeding herself at the moment. She loves the independence. So this set just adds to that. The size of the set is also very good. Perfect for a toddler.

I can't wait for the sun to come  back so we can take this set to the park for a picnic. The set also comes in pink and green, something for everyone.

Snack Catcher

Paige loves snacks. She's a lot like me in that respect. I would rather snack all day than eat 3 set meals. A problem we have faced about Paige and her eating snacks is where to keep them. Yes they can stay in a pot with a closed lid but then I have to open them each time Paige wants something. It's a lot nicer to give her something that she can take the snacks from herself but not spill all over the carpet! This give her independence and means I'm not worrying about the mess. The Munchkin Snack Catcher is perfect for this.

The Snack Catcher cup keeps bite-sized snacks inside the container until little fingers pull them out. It doesn't even spill if the cup is tipped upside down. The soft flaps make it easy to access for your little one to get the snacks pout. This too comes in many different colours and is £3.20.

We love the snack catcher. Although I wouldn't say that it stops all the mess of snack time it does stop most of it. Paige will reach in to grab a snack and as she pulls her hand out other snacks will come out too. Paige does love to tip it upside down and with the snack catcher no snacks fall out when she does this so that is great.

I normally put fruit, bread sticks, cheerios or puffs into the snack catcher and all work very well.

Thanks for reading,

Nicola Xx
