My Hen Do - Part 1

The Night Before
I still have no idea where we are going. I have packed an overnight bag which includes a swimsuit. I haven't worn swimwear in about 7 years. Needless to say I'm not wearing a bikini. At least not quite yet. Maybe on our first family holiday abroad, whenever that may be :)

I'm excited and a little nervous. I can't wait!

The Weekend
Ash picked me up around 1pm and we first headed to the Trafford Centre to do some shopping and for lunch. We didn't really buy too much and off we headed to the surprise at around 3:30pm. We arrived at 4pm to a spa hotel :) I was so excited. First we checked in and then dumped our bags in our room and went to explore. We had cream tea and then went to check out the spa. We were having dinner until pretty late so got changed into our swimwear and went to the spa. We swam, chilled out in the Jacuzzi and went in the steam room. We did each thing a couple of times while chatting and just relaxing. We then went back to our room and got ready for dinner. I also got a little present from Ash!!

We had soup, a carvery dinner and then cheesecake. The food was yummy. It was lovely to be able to eat a meal while it was still hot and not have to worry about Paige. Of course I missed her but mummy time was defiantly needed.

Then we went back to the room, had a few drinks in bed, in our pjs then went to sleep. Well Ash went to sleep. I didn't. In fact at 3:30am I was still wide awake. I ended up only getting 4 hours sleep.

The next day we woke up, had a full English breakfast, a croissant and a cuppa and went for our beauty treatments. Sadly the beauty therapist had phoned in sick so we weren't able to get our treatments :(

We then checked out of the hotel and decided if we couldn't pamper our bodies with spa treatments we would have to have some retail therapy instead. I went in the frame of mind to buy jeans, shoes and some tops. I came back with some jeans and a top for Mark. Both bargains! My jeans were meant to be £101 and I got them for £36. Marks top was meant to be £30 and I got it for £7.20!

We are going to try get a refund for our spa treatments and hopefully have a little pamper session with that money. It was such a shame but didn't spoil our weekend at all. This way we get to have another little pampering session :)

Thanks for reading,

Nicola Xx
