The morning of the wedding came and I was so excited. Mark took Paige downstairs and I was given the chance to have a lovely lie in to prepare for the busy day ahead. Needless to say I couldn't sleep so I went downstairs to join my little family. Marks parents had arrived the day before and were making there way to our house from the hotel to spend a bit of time with Paige before the madness started.
At 10:30am everyone had left to start getting ready and set up the evening do venue. I was still in pjs and hadn't even yet showered. My best friend arrived and I put Paige down for her nap hoping that she slept while I got ready, which she did.
By 11:30am I was out the shower and sat on the sofa eating chocolates. I was still so excited but calm. I didn't get nervous at all that day. By 12:30pm my other friend arrived and I was still chatting away eating chocolates. It was now that I felt the urge to get ready. I did my hair and make up and was ready for 1pm. Everything went to plan. I couldn't believe it all went to well.
It was then time to get Paige up and get me into my dress. My friend dressed Paige while I got dressed myself. The finishing touches were added and we were all ready a little early at 1:30pm. My dad arrived and told me he had a surprise for me. He had organised a car for me. Before that the plan was to just go in my dads car.
During the car journey I couldn't stop smiling, it was nearly time to see Mark and marry my best friend. After lots of pictures outside the registry it was finally time.
I entered the room with my dad. I didn't notice anyone but Mark and Paige. I smiled the whole time. During the ceremony Paige came and stood in between me and mark listening ever so carefully to what the registrar was saying. We both placed a hand on her head. At that moment nothing in the world mattered. We said our vows and exchanged rings. We were married!!
I remember thinking after how easy it was and how in the space of a few minutes everything changed.
After more pictures we headed off to our meal. There were just 10 guests at the wedding and only 11 at the meal. We always wanted something small and that's what we got. We had a lovely few hours chatting, laughing and eating yummy food with close family and friends. It was perfect.
At 7pm we headed to the evening do. This too was quite small, maybe 35-40 guests. The venue was decorated beautifully until Paige messed up all the balloons and started trying to eat the food! It didn't matter. She did so well the whole day and was a pleasure. Running around in her gorgeous little dress.
We danced, chatted and laughed. Had our first dance, cut the cake (which was yummy) and ate yet more food. Me and Paige left at around 10:45pm, she was so tired. I put her to bed and then sat on the sofa in my wedding dress, waiting for my husband.
I still can't believe we are married. It felt like a dream. It all went so perfectly and I couldn't of wished for anything more. We got married on a budget but at the end of the day we got married. That's what we set out to do and we did it. Looking back I wouldn't change a thing. I loved the day and it was perfect for us.
The day flew by and to be honest I don't remember it all. The thing that stands out most is the ceremony and our first dance. In those two moments nothing in the world mattered.
We had the most magical day and looking at the pictures makes me smile from ear to ear. So here are a few of those pictures :)
