Bump Update - 32 Weeks

This week baby boy is now around 42cm long and gaining weight fast. His lungs wont fully develop until just before birth but baby's born now have a very good chance of survival. He may also have a full head of hair by now... I guess we will see :)

I've noticed a couple more stretch marks this weeks, mostly on my lower belly near my belly button.

I'm finding it hard to sleep again and regularly wake up around 2/3/4am. Once I wake I tend to find it quite hard to go to sleep and stay asleep and I'm sometimes wide awake around 6am in the morning. I have started napping this week though as Paige has suddenly started napping again. I normally only manage an hour or even half an hour but just laying in bed and resting helps.

I can defiantly tell that my uterus has grown this week. It feels a lot higher up and sitting upright is getting uncomfortable. Baby boy still feels pretty low compared to what Paige did.

I've had slightly less heartburn too which is nice but this seems to vary on a daily basis. When I do get it, it's mostly right before bed or during the night.

My skin has broken out a little this week too. I'm still getting a ton of Braxton hicks and baby boy is still wiggling up a storm. I have noticed that he does tend to have a day or two a week when he will be really quiet and hardly move. He is still also getting hiccups 2/3 times a day.

I think we have sorted out our pram situation. We are going to buy a new car seat that fits onto two of our pram chassis we already have. We will then get a buggy board for Paige to stand on. I'm a little nervous at the fact we won't have a double and I'm not sure how I'll cope when I'm on my own with them both but we can always buy one after baby boy arrives if I find it too difficult.

Don't forget to check out Paige's 32 week update and last weeks 31 week update.

Thanks for reading,

Nicola xx

  4. Oh look at your beautiful bump! I can totally sympathise with the little sleep thing. I'm only 21 weeks but am regularly waking in the night for a wee, or because the baby has kicked, or because I can't get comfortable. Husband jokes that it's preparing me for a newborn and those sleepless nights again. Unsurprisingly, I don't find this joke particularly funny at 3am! Thank you for linking up to the #BlogBumpClub - loving reading all these posts! xx

  5. Aww you look stunning! And for what it's worth we didn't double up our buggy when Elma arrived; Kitty walked or at a pinch I carried Elma in the sling and Kitty in the buggy and it all worked out so it is possible to do it without a double :)

  6. Ohhh I can relate to the insomnia thing. I've been waking at 4am not able to get back to sleep at all. I get lots of work done but by 7pm I am ILL!!! Luka was 2 when Bella was born and we bought a double but to be honest it was only a month or so before we got rid of it and bought a buggy board so I think thats your best option to be honest. We got a kid sit which is fab as he was only litle so could sit down when he needed to.
