Me and Mine - December

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, we did. It was so lovely to just enjoy time together and not have to worry about anything else. Christmas seems to let you enjoy the moment more. You forget about everything else and just enjoy every single moment. I love that.

December wasn't particularly easy but we are more than prepared for the harder months now. We've had a lot to deal with since July but we have. Hopefully 2016 will bring us a few easier months and better health for me.

I have no idea what 2016 will hold but we have each other and that's all that matters.

Christmas 2015

We had a lovely, quiet Christmas. Something that we try to do each year. We love having Christmas Day too ourselves. We don't let anyone come over and make no plans what so ever. We cherish that time as just us as a family and wouldn't have it any other way.

The children got some lovely presents and loved opening them. Paige truly understood Christmas this year and was so excited. Parker loved opening presents too but got bored about half way. Paige loved helping him.

We opened presents, played with toys and ate yummy food. I didn't take half as many pictures as I usually do on Christmas but we were just so busy having fun together.

Resolutuions Recap

I feel like I normally do quite well with new year resolutions but this year I think I failed quite badly.

1) I want to learn how to use my camera better.

This has been a resolution for the past two years. Each year I've failed. In fact this year I've used my camera even less than normal.

2) I want to read again.

Never happened. I don't make enough time for myself.

3) I want to get healthier.

Sort of happened. I toned up a little and was on a health kick around summer time but I really need to get into the habit of regular exercise.

 4) Get more organised around the house and in general.

Failed at organising the house. Me myself i am more organised and i am using my planners so much which is helping.

5) Start driving lessons. I don't care if I don't pass this year but I want to at least start my lessons.

Fail!

6) Be more confident. Try new things. Take a chance sometimes!

I feel like I've done this one proud. I started a planner instagram account and even a planner Youtube account and posted videos.

7) Grow my hair.

Yep I've grown my hair and now i feel the urge to chop it all off.

I'm really struggling with new resolutions for next year. I think the key has to be consistency. Do you usually keep your resolutions?

Mummy and Me - December

December was full of ups and downs. At the beginning of the month I had some treatment that I am still recovering from. And then we have just had Christmas. From one extreme to the other really. We did have a lovely Christmas and I am so thankful. The kids loved it and we had so much family time which we all loved.

I would of loved pictures from Christmas Day but we were just too busy. I barely took any pictures at all when normally I take hundreds. But we enjoyed the moment and that was pretty great.

Parker looks huge in these pictures and truth be told its getting harder for me to carry him, he's just getting so big. The last thing they both wanted was a picture with mummy when they have so many new toys to play with.

I've wondered if I should carry on Mummy and Me into the new year and to be honest I'm still a little undecided.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

18 Months Old

I can't believe that Parker is now officially 18 months old. 1 and a half just seems so big. Exactly two years ago we announced we were pregnant with him. The month passed within a blink of an eye. It only feels like he turned one the other week. If the next six months go just as quickly I'm in big trouble but I'm not ready for him to turn two.

He looks so grown up and people always comment on that. I wish he still looked like a baby but he doesn't. He's losing his chubbiness baby looks very quickly. He has really light hair still and big browny green eyes. They aren't fully brown yet but they look they will be soon. They are a lot browner than Paige's as hers are very much dark green. He now has 16 teeth and just has his four last molars to come through.

He is so cheeky and a real little boy. He gets into trouble more than Paige ever has. He loves dinosaurs, cars and trains. But equally loves teddies, blankets and dolls. He was trying to feed Paige's doll the other day. He is so gentle and sweet. He loves cats and loves stroking them and us!

His speech is coming on really well. This month he learnt to say Santa, ho ho ho, Millie and monkey. He has a good go at trying to say more or less every word we ask him too. He still loves to sing. He also loves to try count.

His eating is sometimes really good and sometimes not so good. Probably a bit like me he goes through stages. His favourites are banana, carrots and crisps. He likes most fruit. With veg he will demolish carrots. He hates peas. Everything else depends on what mood he is in.

He runs around and dances like a pro. His legs are really strong and his balance is also quite good. He loves colouring, drawing and stickers. He likes playdoh but hasn't played with it all that much. He loves blocks and building. He loves shape sorters and is really good at working things out. I think he's going to be very much like his dad with the way his mind works.

I just can't believe that he is 1 and a half.

I hope time slows down a little bit before he turns two.

Christmas Pictures 2015

To be honest I was dreading taking Christmas pictures this year. Parker doesn't like cooperating at the best of times. Luckily he kept his hat on though. I hardly got any pictures of him by himself the ones I got I am happy with.

It's become a little tradition that I take Christmas pictures of the kids each year and I love them all.

Siblings - December

The last month of the year and the last siblings post for 2015. This month Parker turns 18 months.

I can't believe that he is almost 1 and a half years old. It doesn't seem quite possible.

I love watching my two together and it has to be the best thing about having two.

This months picture is a simple one. With the nursery runs our days are pretty much the same. Paige is gone from 8:40-11:40 and between those times we go on the nursery run. The nursery isn't far and to be honest I quite enjoy getting outside whatever the weather. These two as so sweet and will regulars hold hands as we walk back from school.

Parker misses Paige so much when she is at nursery and she misses him. They are still the best of friends and I love seeing their relationship grow.

I also wanted to do a little recap of the past 18 months.

Review - Flamingo Gifts

Flamingo Gifts is a lovely little website that sell a whole range of items for everyone in the family. We were recently send some items to review and try out.

The first items we were sent were these adorable mummy bear and daddy bear mugs. Priced at £8.99 each these super cute mugs are the perfect gifts. They are dishwasher safe which makes them super convenient. They are slightly smaller than I imagined but more than big enough for a decent cuppa.

The Gruffalo divided plate retails at £6.99 and is perfect for any little one. Both Paige and Parker love divided plates. They like to have all their food separated. This plate is perfect for that. The Gruffalo them is super cute and really sweet.

Sass & Belle wooden dinosaur bookends retail at £9.95. These are in Parkers room holding a few books up. They are lovely quality and really sweet. I love that the dinosaurs are different as it adds a bit of interest.

I love giving and received pyjamas as presents. I think they make such a lovely gift and are practical as well.  This Jake and the Neverland Pirates onesie is £8.49. The sizing is spot on and it washes really well. It isn't too thick so your child won't overheat. It also washes well. The perfect gift for any Jake fan.

These Disney princess cream pyjamas are £6.99. Page is obsessed with the Princesses at the moment so absolutely loves these pyjamas. They are baby pink and cream which is lovely and soft. The aren't too in your face. They have the added detail of a picture on the leg which is a nice touch.

We love all the items from Flamingo Gifts and can't recommend them enough.
