Review - The Wool Room

As a parent sleep becomes something that is so important. You don't get enough or struggle to get any at all. I don't know about you but I am willing to try almost anything to get a better nights sleep.

I never really thought that bedding could make a difference but it can. Having a wool pillow, duvet and matress protector can help you sleep better, it's scientifically proven.

The Wool Room was born in 2008. A small group of people wanted to show the world how amazing wool was. The wool room offers bedding made from Wool. They kindly sent us a deluxe bedding set of pillows, a quilt and a matress protector to review.

The idea is that sleeping on top and under wool helps you get better quality of sleep. There are studies that show you sleep 25% better when surrounded by wool. It helps you stay in the deeper stage of sleeping for longer with a lower relaxed heart rate. It also helps regulate your temperature making sure you don't get too hot. It is also washable and hypoallergenic. It also supports British farmers.

Our bedding was packaged well and arrived quickly. The first thing I noticed was the quality of the items. As soon as you touch the items you can feel the quality. They feel amazing. I didn't even want to put covers on they felt so nice. You get a true sense of luxury. All the items arrived in there own dust bags which again added to the luxury aspect. I couldn't wait to test the items out and was looking forward to bed time.

The pillows  are probably my favourite item. You can truly personalise them to how you like them. Because there is wool inside you can take some out if the pillow is too full for how you like it. You can buy extra to add in. You can fluff the wool up to make it softer. This is perfect for me and Mark. He prefers flat pillows and I prefer soft bouncy pillows. With these wool pillows we can both have what we want. We no longer need to buy two different pillows. The pillows open with a tab less zip and are easily opened and adjusted to suit each sleeper.

After I fluffed my pillow up

The medium duvet is just as lovely as the pillows. The medium is 8-12 tog and is perfect for all round year round use. Again the quality is something which you feel right the start. The duvet isn't too heavy but its a good weight. The wool helps couples body temperature to regulate so you both get 25% better sleep. I always used to wake up roasting and with this bedding I haven't yet. We've tried it out for a good month now and I do feel like I've had better sleep. Even though I still wake up once a
night to see to Parker I feel like I'm able to fall asleep quicker and get a better quality of sleep.

The matress protector also helps to make sure that you don't overheat while you sleep and together with the duvet has worked well for us. It too has the same quality and feel of the pillows and the duvet. It is secured to the matress like a fitted sheet would be and wraps under the matress ensuring that it stays in place.

The bedding is the only proved hypoallergenic bedding on the market. Testing showed that dust mites just can not survive on wool and so the bedding has Allergy UK Seal of approval which is perfect if you or your children suffer from asthma or allergies. It can also be fully machine washed on a wool cycle.

I'll be honest, I'd never even heard of wool bedding before but now I wouldn't be without it. I have already recommended it to many family members who can't believe the quality of the bedding.

Have you tried of Wool bedding?
