Review - Braun ThermoScan 7

No parent likes seeing their child ill. You feel so helpless and would do anything to help them. One of the hardest things I find is telling whether they have a temperature or not. We have plain, bog standard thermometer but I don't trust it 100%. Paige's nursery won't allow her in class if she has a temperature so it is vital that we have a thermometer that we trust and that works properly.

The Braun ThermoScan 7 is just that thermometer. The most amazing thing about this thermometer is the Age Prescision feature. This is a patented technology that in my eyes is great and really useful. Did you know that according to age the definition of a fever is different in different ages. A fever is a newborn can be classed as a normal temperature for a 4 year old. With the Age Prescision technology you can select your childs age and then take their temperature. The technology adjusts depending on which age you select. You can select 0-3, 3-36m and 36+ months. This means that you can a correct guide for whatever age your child is so you know exactly if they have a fever or  not.

The thermometer is really easy to use. You select your child's age, take their temperature and look at the display. You get the temperature displayed in number form and also a traffic light form. Green means normal temperature, yellow means slightly elevated and red means fever. This makes it really easy to read. There is no mistaking if your child has a fever or not. It also has a night light which makes it really easy to use even in the middle of the night.

It stores the last 9 temperatures taken which means you can easily track your childs temperature and keep an eye on it.

It has disposable lens filters which are BPA and Latex free. They are super quick and easy to change. There is also a very handy case to store the thermometer and lens filters. This keeps everything together and makes it very portable.

Overall the thermometer is really great. I can't fault it at all. It is recommended by doctors and trust by parents everywhere. It is available to buy from Amazon.

Have you tried the Braun ThermoScan 7?

  1. Great review Nic - LOVE the look of this! We had the Tommee Tippee Digital Thermometer when the boys were younger but it wasn't all that and kept giving wrong readings so think i'll invest in this one instead! xxx
