Me and Mine - April

I really impressed myself this month. I had this months pictures within the first week. I'm not sure that's ever happened before.

April seems to have flown by. I turned 27 and it was Paige's last month as a three year old. She is four in May. I can't believe how fast time flies. It seems crazy that soon we will have a four year old and then a month later a two year old. We also found out that Paige got into our first choice for primary school. I am very nervous but excited for her to start. I can't wait to spend the summer with her.

We also announced that I'm pregnant!! We had originally planned to announce in May but due to a hospital stay I ended up getting a slightly earlier scan. I am so excited to see our family grow.

At the beginning of April we went to Blackpool for the day. It was so sunny but very windy. We ate chips and doughnuts. Spent far too much money in the arcades but we had a wonderful family day together. The kids loved it, as did me and Mark. We didn't take the pram for Parker so we were a little slow walking around but we weren't in a hurry.

I cant wait for it to get warmer so we can go again and dip our toes in the sea and build sandcastles.

I love our little family days out, they seem to halt over the winter and build up again in the spring and summer.

Ours pictures are far from perfect but they remind me of our wonderful day out. Hardly anyone is looking at the camera and Parker was stuffing his face with doughnuts.

22 Months Old

Two little month to go until Parker is two. The weeks are flying by and Parker seems to grow up so much each week.

This past month was all about speech. He has come on so much. He pretty much says anything we ask him too and can put 2 and 3 word sentences together. He is getting very clear with his speech and actually says some words a lot better than Paige, but she didn't properly start talking until 2 and a half so he is very much ahead of her.

He is still as cheeky as ever and a little terror at times. He loves climbing and playing. He still loves cars and balls. He loves going outside and now we regularly leave the pushchair at home and have him walking. He's a really good walker and can walk for a good hour without a break. He also loves to run and jump.

He is still obsessed with Paige and loves her to pieces. He is such an affectionate little boy and will give kisses and cuddles all day.

He is a little fussy still with his eating. He still loves fruit but will hardly touch veg. He also isn't keen on meat.

He loves pulling silly faces making us all laugh. He is such a little entertainer.

Mummy and Me - April

Yet another month has flown by. April saw my birthday and some gorgeous weather. I hope we get some more in May. Paige turns four next month and I'm just not sure I'm ready. I guess I have to be. We also found out that we got her first choice for primary school which we are so excited about but again it means that she is growing up so quickly.

This months pictures as really simple but I love them. You can't even see our faces but sometimes you don't need to. We had just finished a lovely walk in the park. I am simply walking holding my babies hands. There will come a day when they are too big and too cool to hold my hand so I am soaking these moments up while I still have chance. We've loved the warmer weather this month and the sunshine. We've played outside and just enjoyed each other.

Paige is back at pre school now so me and Parker have our mornings together again. I think he loves spending one on one time with me. I love it. It's so lovely that I get to spend a little time alone with him every day while Paige is busy at pre school with her friends.

Next month will be a very exciting month. Parkers last as a two year old and Paige turning four. I am so not ready.

Mark also has some time off around Paige's birthday and we are all very excited for that!

National Pet Month

If you didn't know April is national pet month. I've partnered up with Ocean to spoil my pet. As old readers will know we have a cat called Millie. She turned 5 in February and is the weirdest, crazy cat ever.

We love her to pieces. The kids love playing with her and feeding her. She is an indoor cat and basically rules the house.

As it is national pet month we wanted to spoil Millie rotten. I was given £50 to do this with. I set to work looking for some items that I thought Millie would love. First up I headed onto eBay. I love the selection and things are cheaper meaning more items for my money. When we first got Millie we got her a cat tree, it had seen better days so I decided it was time she got a new one. I managed to find one eBay for £25.90 which I thought was a great deal. She absolutely loves it and is constantly in it. The pouches are her favourite part and she loves to sleep in there.

Next we headed to Pets at Home to spend the rest of the money. We came out with a huge bag full of things. We got Millie some treats, Dreamies are her favourite. We also got her some toys, a new mat and a cat bowl, which is actually two bowls in one.

She loves the big pink toy as it lights up and flashes when its dark. The kids are having so much fun playing with her new toys.

Will you spoil your pet this month?

Siblings - April

These posts always come around so quickly. This past month I feel like I've got loads of pictures of the kids together and I love it. They are always together, we have the Easter holidays to thank for that. They've grown even closer somehow. I'm sad that Paige is back at school now but the routine side of it is nice.

There favourite thing to do this month was walking holding hands. We've started leaving the buggy at home a lot more and having Parker walk and they love holding each other hands.

We also went to Blackpool last week so they loved going on the rides and playing the machines together.

The Easter holidays have made me so excited for the summer holidays. I can not wait to see them how they grow and change together over the summer.

Review - My Little Pony Row and Ride Swan Boat

Paige is currently obsessed with My Little Pony. One good thing.... easy birthday presents. If your little girl is the same she will love the My Little Pony Magic Pinkie Pie Row & Ride Swan Boat Set from Hasbro. Its part of their new spring/summer range and is available from The Entertainer for £20.

The toy comes with Pinkie Pie and her own little swan boat. Super cute girly set. You can pose Pinkie Pie so that when you push the boat along it looks like she is rowing herself. Her legs slot into the boat. The boat also plays music as she rides along.

Paige loves playing with the toy and loves taking other toys for rides in the back of the boat. I think the toy is really cute and really well made. The paddles do tend to fall off quite easily and Paige can't quite put them back in herself yet but she will soon. Paige's favourite part of the toy is Pinkie Pie and the music. It isn't too annoying either!

There's so much detail on the swan including the little crown and the heart in the wheels. Overall a super cute toy which would make a lovely gift for any My Little Pony fan.

Does your child like My Little Pony?

Paiges Room Tour

Today I wanted to give you all a little look into Paige's room. It isn't a huge themed room and doesn't have loads of fabulous decoration but she loves it. We wanted to keep it quite simple. There are a lot of pink elements as she loves pink and is really girly right now.

First up she a white Kallax unit from ikea. This was only £20 and is such great storage. Parker also has one in his room. The little pink boxes inside and the pink lamp are also from Ikea. She then just has random toys she loves, her snow globe which is adores, it has a little deer inside. A few teddies and books. Her little night light is from china and has Inside Out on it. Towards the left of this she has her doll house which is from Asda.

Next up she has her little chair, which is also from ikea. On top of that she has her Minnie Mouse teddies and Parkers Mickey Mouse from the Disney Store.

Then she has build in wardrobes that take up an entire wall of her room. We love them! Parker also uses them as there that big. She has her personalised bean bag from teeny beanies and a wooden easel.

On her floor she has a gorgeous rug from Flair Rugs from the collection Not Before Tea. She loves her little vole rug and likes to think she's doing ballet.

Last up is her bed. She still has her cot bed from Argos but will be moving up to a single in the summer. As you can see she has stuck loads of stickers on her bed and loves teddies. Do anyone else's child sleep with about 500 teddies? She also has her wooden kitchen which is from Amazon. Her bunting, which is above her bed, is from eBay and was super cheap.

That is pretty much her room. Like I said nothing fancy but she loves it. I haven't painted it since we moved as I can't make up my mind what to do. I like that its quite neutral as the pink details can always be changed if she decides she doesn't like pink anymore.

Does your little ones room have a theme?

My Birthday 2016

27 I don't feel 27. Does anyone ever feel their age?

My birthday was April 3. We didn't have anything special planned as to be honest I couldn't make my mind up what I wanted to do.

I woke up to cards, presents and breakfast. The weather didn't look great but I really wanted to do something different and special. We decided to head to my favourite restaurant, Frankie and Bennys.

The kids were so good and the food was really yummy. After we had stuffed our faces we headed back home for Parkers nap. He refuses to nap in the car so thought a nap at home would be best.

After Parker woke up my dad and his partner came over for a little buffet and cake. Mark got me the most amazing cake. A pink Kate spade Wellesley planner. We all know how much I love planners so why not turn a cake into one.

After food we decided to head to the park for a stroll. The kids love getting out and the weather had brightened up which was lovely.

The kids then went to bed and me and mark snuggled up on the sofa and watched a film.

All in all a good birthday. Maybe by next year I can think of something to do, maybe a day trip somewhere.

How do you celebrate your birthday?

Nicola Xx
