Me and Mine - May

May was a good month. We celebrated Paige's 4th birthday and had a little trip down south to see family. That's where this months pictures are taken. I thought it was a good idea to try take some while walking along near the beach but they didn't quite turn out as planned. I still love them though.

We had such a lovely morning at the beach and I think they capture that. One taken by me and the other by Mark ,who thought he could totally beat me by getting more of everyone in the picture than I did. But he managed to almost cut off all of Parkers head! I totally won. I do love that in his picture you can see my little bump. I can't wait for it to get bigger and join us in family pictures.

I wish the kids were looking but I've given up on that ever happening so a selfie with all four (or five) of us actually in the picture is a win for me!

That Awkward Stage

That awkward pregnancy stage. If you've been pregnant then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

The awkward stage happens during the first trimester and sometimes into the second. It's when your regular clothes start getting tight but maternity clothes are too small. Your bump isn't a proper bump yet and quite frankly you just look like you've eaten one too many desserts. You can either hide this or try to embrace it.

This is my third pregnancy and most days I honestly find both of these things hard. It can sometimes be hard to adapt your regular wardrobe to fit with your new changing shape. Personally I love wearing jeggings during this time. Mine are from Primark. Great quality and good prices. The stretchy waist band lends itself to a growing bump. My next go to piece is either a tight top to show off what bump you have or a more loose fitting top to slightly disguise a growing bump. My last go to item would be a dress. I have found that dresses will generally fit you for a longer time while you have a growing bump as they are more forgiving. You can style them in a way to either hide or show off a growing bump. I love the wide range of items that Esprit has. An online shop means you can try on new items in the comfort of your own home.

Some other tricks I like to do are the hair bobble trick to make buttoned trousers last longer by extending the waist a little. I also use bump bands so I can wear normal trousers but have the button undone.

Of course this awkward stage passes in the blink of an eye. Soon your bump is big enough to fit into maternity clothes.

Do you have any tips or tricks for that awkward stage?

9 Weeks Pregnant - Baby #3

Baby
This week the baby is the size of a green olive. Tiny muscles are forming to help baby move their arms and legs. The eyelids are fused shut and the placenta is starting to take on more work.

Symptoms
This week I have my first midwife appointment. It seems to have taken forever to come around but gone quickly at the same time. I'm still suffering with HG, bad skin and greasy hair. This week I was actually admitted to hospital. I went to the doctors after being sick so many times during the day I couldn't even count the times. She tested my urine, did blood pressure and pulse and sent me straight to hospital. The doctor actually said that if I had gone on my own she would of called an ambulance for me because I was that poorly. My heart was racing trying to keep me going through not eating and dehydration from my HG. I've got a whole other post about my hospital stay coming up. While in hospital I also got a scan. They wanted to check on baby and make sure everything was ok. Baby was measuring 2 days ahead so my due date got changed but baby looked perfect.
I swear I can feel my uterus this week. I feel like I also popped a little this week although you still can't tell when I have normal clothes on.

Waist - No idea. Forgot to measure with how sick I was.
Weight - I'm another 4lbs down from pre pregnancy weight. I knew my sickness was bad.

Mummy and Me - May

These months really need to stop passing so quickly. I can barely keep up!

This month was Paige's 4th birthday and we had a little break away down south. Only a couple of days to see family but we did mange a morning at the beach which was so lovely.

This months picture is from that morning. Me and the kids with the sea in the background. It isn't a particularly great picture but it reminds me so much of our morning and just makes me smile.

I can't wait for my belly to start getting bigger and appearing in my mummy and me pictures.

8 Weeks Pregnant - Baby #3

Baby
This week the baby is the size of a large raspberry and apparently grew 1mm each day. The tail is just about gone but the fingers and toes are still webbed. The babies lips, nose, eyelids and legs are taking shape. The baby is also starting to make spontaneous movements.

Symptoms
This week I feel huge but don't feel as bloated as before. You still cant tell when I'm wearing clothes but by the end of the day I have a pretty big belly. I'm having to unbutton my jeans whenever I sit down as they tend to dig in and hurt. I'm still on the anti sickness tablets but still feel nauseous pretty much all day. Its normally worse around 10/11am and then again at 3pm and 9pm. This week I really struggled with constipation, not fun and not very nice. My skin also broke out a lot more this week, just as I thought it was clearly up again.

Waist - 26 inch. Knew I was so bloated last week.
Weight - Still 2lbs under pre pregnancy weight

23 Months Old

Just one more little month until Parker is TWO! Kind of hard to believe.

He has grown up so much this month. His speech is amazing. He talks so much and knows so many words. He still only really puts two words together but this is so much more advanced that Paige at the same age. He is so clear as well. He really knows his mind and knows what he wants. He loves a routine and knows what should happen and when.

He is such a funny little boy. He will do anything to make you laugh and I can see him as the class clown when he is older.

He is obsessed with trains, planes and basically everything with wheels. He still adores his teddies and has two special ones that go everywhere. He loves playing football.

He is such a loving little boy still and has started lifting up my top and kissing bump. I think it will be a big adjustment for him when the baby comes but I have no doubt that he will be the best big brother.

7 Weeks Pregnant - Baby #3

Baby
This week the baby is the size of a blueberry. The brain is growing and becoming more complex. Tiny arms and legs are starting to form too.

Symptoms
This week I've felt awful. My nausea lasts all day every day and I've started to be sick more and more. I spent the whole morning trying to eat and bringing everything back up. It got to the point where I couldn't keep down any food or water and I told myself that instead of struggling I had to see my doctor right away. I feel like I tried to be strong and not give in when pregnant with Parker and that lead to me being nearly admitted into hospital, with two kids to look after this time I can't let that happen. I went to the doctors and he checked my urine, luckily everything was ok so I didn't get sent to hospital and was told I have HG again and given anti sickness tablets. I think they are the same ones I had with Parker. It seems that I just get very sick in early sick. I am so bloated this week again, I look huge some days. Cereal is pretty much one of the only foods I can keep down. On a typical day I'm eating every hour. Even with the tablets I still have to eat very often to keep the nausea away and most of the time I'm still nauseous all day.  Sitting up so much makes me sick and laying down on my side makes me so nauseous too. I do have good and bad days. This week I was craving Burger King. What's with all the junk food?! In the beginning of the week I lost more weight but then gained some. My boobs are also fuller which is lovely, they don't hurt and never really did during my other pregnancies either. I feel like my skin has cleared up a little although I still have tiny spots all over. My hair gets so greasy so quickly.

Waist: 26.5 - I'm so bloated!
Weight: +1 so now down 2lbs from pregnancy weight.

Paiges 4th Birthday

On the 17th Paige turned four. I still can't believe we have a four year old. Four just seems so big and so grown up.

A couple of days before she was actually really poorly. She spend the whole day sleeping and didn't eat a thing, she was also sick quite a few times. Luckily on her birthday she felt ok. She wasn't 100% but she was so excited for her birthday so that took her mind off feeling ill I think.

The original plan was for her to open her cards and then go to pre school and open her presents after but that didn't work out at all. She came downstairs to a decorated living room and was so excited so we let her have her presents then too. She loved opening them with Parker and even let him help. Everything she got was My Little Pony related, she is obsessed. She put on her new clothes, ate some breakfast and off she went to school. Mark had the day off work so while Paige was at school we took Parker to the park for a little bit and then headed home so I could make Paige's cake.

She really wanted a My Little Pony and we looked everywhere for one but couldn't find one. We were going to get one specially made but I love making the kids cakes so thought I'd give it a go. I had an idea in my head and kept it pretty simple because my HG was playing up and I felt like crap. I worked on it all morning and finally finished just as it was time to pick Paige up. Paige didn't see her cake until we sang happy birthday after tea but she loved it and said it as the best part of her day.

After school we went to the park with her little school friends and played for a little bit. Then we headed home for lunch and Parkers nap. It was lovely to spend time alone with Paige on her birthday while Parker napped. And it was lovely for her to have both mummy and daddy at home. We didn't plan to do much as we knew she wouldn't be feeling 100%.

At tea time we had some family come over for a little party. We made homemade pizza (one of Paige's favourite meals) and ate cake. One of my friends also came over to give Paige a present. She absolutely loved her cake and I am so happy.

Overall she had a really lovely day. It was quiet but she still loved it. The day after we also travelled over 200 miles in the car so that was another reason we didn't really want to do much. We do plan on taking her to the zoo or aquarium in a few weeks but want to wait until my sickness dies down a little bit. We are also thinking of doing that trip as a joint trip for hers and Parkers birthday which is only a month away!

6 Weeks Pregnant - Baby #3

Baby
This week baby is the size of a small pea. The baby is growing at a rapid rate and will triple in size this week. Basic features are still developing and the heart will start pumping blood any day.

Symptoms
My symptoms this week have mainly included nausea and sickness. This was the first time I was sick and I know it wont be the last. I was sick at 6w3d. Certain foods I can't stand are bananas, they smell awful to me and I normally eat one a day. Dry foods are also harder for me to eat. I'm craving McDonalds, cake and chicken salad. I was also a bit dizzy when standing week, I think my blood pressure is a little low which is completely normal in early pregnancy. I'm also a little bloated. I just awful generally crappy.

Weight: Lost another 2lbs so I'm down 3lbs from pre pregnancy so far

Birthday Pictures - Paige is four

Each year I like to take pictures of the children as they are about to turn a year older. Nothing fancy and usually they are taken in our bedroom against a plain wall or on the bed. I love comparing them and seeing how much they have changed in a year.

I love the pictures I got of Paige this year, I always love them but I feel like this year she looks so grown up and so beautiful. I think they show her personality off and give you all a glimpse into the little girl we have the pleasure of knowing and helping to grow.

Tomorrow You Are FOUR!

Each year seems to pass even more quickly than the previous. I can't believe that tomorrow you are four.

You are so grown up now. Over the year your speech is the biggest improvement. You were quite a late talker but we didn't have to worry, now you don't shut up. You really have come on so much and we are so proud of you.

You are still the best big sister to Parker and you are so excited to have another baby in the house. You always ask if its time for the baby to come out of mummy's belly. You insist that the baby is a girl which is better than the weeks you spent convincing us it was twins!

You are such a character, you tell the weirdest jokes and find them hilarious. You have such a great little personality and are still are crazy as ever. You never stop playing, running or talking.

You love nursery. Sometimes you go through phases of not wanting to go but that only lasts 5 minutes and as soon as you are in the door you don't want to leave. You will be starting primary school in September. You are so excited to eat lunch at school and wear a uniform, mummy can't believe how quickly it has come around.

You are such an amazing, beautiful girl and we are so lucky that you are ours.

We love you so much princess.

Siblings - May

May has been a lovely month. The kids have spent so much time outside in the sun playing in the garden. They have loved every second of it. So have I.

They still love spending time together and are always with each other. They are the best of friends and even more so now they explore outside together.

The next few months are going to be so bittersweet. The last few months before Paige is at school full time and the last few months until two becomes three.

They both adore my belly and although Parker thinks that every belly has a baby inside I'm hoping the more I grow the more he will realise that the baby is just in mummy's belly. Paige totally gets it and can't wait for the baby to come. She asks daily if the baby is ok and how big he/she is.

Paige is four on the 17th and Parker is two next month. I'm still not quite ready to have a 4 and a 2 year old but time isn't going to wait for me. They are both growing up so quickly, it's a good job I'm pregnant or I would be very broody for another!

I'm trying to just enjoy watching them both together and seeing their incredible bond. Seeing them grow together and develop and seeing them play and interact.

5 Weeks Pregnant - Baby #3

Baby
This week the baby is the size of a orange seed. The neural tube has grown a little tail and baby looks like a tiny tadpole. Babies heart is starting to form and will begin to beat very soon. Some major organs are also starting to develop and baby will almost double in size this week.

Symptoms
I am so tired still this week. Making a baby is hard work. I'm also off food and chocolate! Me the self confessed chocoholic and I don't even want to touch any. I've also had a few headaches this week, maybe from the extra hormones as I've tried to drink as much water as I possibly can. I've had more nausea this week and spots. It's kind of nice to see the effects of the extra hormones but they do suck sometimes.

Waist - 25.5inch and I'm down 1lb from pre pregnancy weight.

Review - My Rolling Melodies Thomas

Parker loves toys, especially toys that move. He is such a typical boy. Don't get me wrong he will play with dolls, tea sets and teddies too. We were recently contacted to review the my first melodies Thomas. I knew Parker would love it even before it arrived. Thomas and Friends are a brand that everyone knows and loves.

When the item arrived Parker couldn't wait to play with it. The Rolling Melodies Thomas features multiple activation points. This means that your child can so touch Thomas' boiler bands, coal bin, whistle, and steam cloud to hear a whole variety of sounds. These include a piano, drums, whistles, and fun phrases.

Four of the six wheels actually turn. Parker loves pushing him along and hearing the different sounds and phases. The toy is a really good size and is very bright, colourful and keeps Parker entertained for a little bit. He does tend to get a little bored after a while and will go off and play with something else.

One thing I'm not too keen on is the volume. It is loud so a volume control button would be nice but sadly there isn't one. There is an on/off button though so that is handy. The Rolling Melodies Thomas is a great toddler toy and retails for £19.99 which I think is a great price.

There is also a Team Thomas campaign going on at the moment. You can join in using #TeamThomasUK on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. The campaign is all about celebrating Thomas & Friends core values of friendship, determination and teamwork. Great qualities for any child to have. The Great Race is an exciting new film is launching in May.  Join Thomas and his friends for weekly activities.

4 Weeks Pregnant - Baby #3

I still can't believe I'm pregnant even though I feel so very pregnant and have for two weeks now. Just like in my finding out post I said that I just knew immediately.

This week I got another positive pregnancy test and a 2-3 weeks result on a Clearblue digital.

Baby
At four weeks the baby has entered the embryonic stage of the pregnancy. The placenta is starting to form. The baby is being nourished by the yolk sac. The baby is pretty much a blob made up of three different layers that over time will develop into the vital organs, skeleton and nervous system.

Symptoms
I've had so many symptoms since conception! I honestly thought I was imagining them all. My skin is breaking out and my hair is greasier. That always happens to me in early pregnancy. I'm having some pulling and tugging sensations which I guess is things moving round. The main symptoms are tiredness, I am so exhausted. I've being in bed for 8/8:30pm most nights. I'm also having bouts of nausea. I've gone off tea and ketchup. With my other two pregnancies I always went off tea too. I also have moments of extreme hunger, I can be fine then the next minute I have to eat something right away, I get terrible hunger pains too. I also noticed some bloating towards the end of the week.

Waist: 25.5inch and no weight gain yet.
