Me and Mine - July

What a lovely month we've had. We went on loads of days out and had loads of family time because Mark had some holidays booked from work. The weather was also so amazing so we've been able to get out and about a lot more.

I feel like July has somehow brought us closer together as a family and I love it! The summer is here and I am trying to soak it all up. I am so excited for the baby to come but from September there will be huge changes. Paige is starting reception year, Parker is starting nursery and then of course in November baby girl will be joining us.

I'm quite nervous about everything changing in just a few short months. I don't doubt that as a family as will make it work and stick together but its quite a few huge changes in such a short space of time.

I do love this months pictures, especially the first one. But they both remind me of some lovely days out we've had and all the family time that we have all soaked up.

Mummy and Me - July

This month we had our 20 week scan. It was so lovely to see baby again and she is still a girl! Paige actually came with me as Mark had to stay and watch Parker which was a shame but she loved it. So did I. She was so excited to see her baby sister again and loved watching the screen and asking questions. Paige also got to feel the baby kicking for the first proper time this time, her face was so amazing. She was so excited. She had felt it before but I don't think it really clicked that it was the baby as the movements were still quite small but this time there was no mistaking that it was baby.

We've had a few days out this month which were lovely, but so tiring. Both me and Paige are so tired. Parker is still as cheeky as ever and has hated having a picture with me this month! He loves to kiss my belly and tries to feel her kick too but it just a little too impatient to wait with his hand on my belly.

This months pictures are one from the seaside and one from a recent belly picture photoshoot. The kids love to crash my weekly photo shoots and this week I just adore the picture so had to include it. As you can see, Parker didn't really want to cooperate with our picture at Blackpool.

I love that you can also see my bump is in these pictures, me and my three babies all together!

22 Weeks Pregnant - Baby #3

This week baby is 30cm and the size of a spaghetti squash. They have also broken the pound weight mark and now weigh just over 1lb. It really is amazing how quickly they grow and develop. Baby is also gripping really well and will play with the umbilical cord. She is also sensing light and dark and hearing all sorts of things.

This week I've had a lot of heartburn again. It's mainly in the evening and it still isn't too bad. I can normally just sip some water or eat something and it will go away. Failing that I will just go to sleep. I'm on two of my tablets a day which is better than three but I do still need to take them. I haven't felt that nauseous this week which is nice. It's maybe happened a few times during the week which is a big improvement on all day ever day the previous week.
It was so hot this week that my feet started swelling up after walking for too long, talk about a stereotypical pregnancy symptom. I also get quite sore if I walk around for a long time and have some pain in my hips. I've also started experienced some cramps in my legs and toes this week which is new. I'm trying to eat a banana every day as this does help. Another main symptom this week is I'm not sleeping well. I'm not sure if it's a mix of the heat, although it has cooled down now, or not being able to get comfy. I have a pregnancy pillow which I am using but I regularly wake up and toss and turn all night. I tend to ache and get really sore when I'm laid down. I'm really hoping it eases off and I can get some good nights sleep soon as I'm exhausted.
I'm still feeling loads of movements and Paige felt baby girl properly for the first time this week. Her face was a picture, she was so excited!

Waist: 28 inch, down half an inch from last week.
Belly: 33 inch, same as last week.
Weight: +2lbs  from last week, so 10lbs in total.

Review - Bravado Designs Body Silk Seamless Yoga Nursing Bra

A lot of things change and grow during pregnancy. One of these is your belly and another is your bust, amongst over things! You can very quickly change sizes. I've gone up almost 3 cups sizes so far and I'm only 22 weeks. I feel like I grew in the early weeks really quickly. I'm only quite petite so having a larger bust does look quite strange on me, it feels really weird too. It also caused me some problems. The main one... backache. By the end of the day I was in quite a bit of pain and really sore.

Enough was enough. The maternity bras needed to come out.

My current favourite is the Body Silk Seamless Yoga Nursing Bra from Bravado Designs. I have some of their other bras too and I love all of them. They are so soft, comfy and really supportive, plus they look cute!
Picture from the Bravado website

I have the charcoal heather colour and really love the design. It isn't ugly and the colour is lovely. Mark has even commented saying he really likes the colour and design. As it's seamless you can wear it under top, you have to be careful about the straps as they are generally thicker than regular bras but this just helps with the support. Also as it is wire free it's perfect for a growing bust during pregnancy, you have to be careful with wires during pregnancy as they can dig in and be really uncomfortable and cause harm. As a nursing bra apart of the bra unclips for easy access while feeding. There are also removable foam inserts for added comfort and support.

It is available in sizes up to XL and fits really well. There is also a handy size guide on the website if you aren't sure which size you will be.

As the bra is also a yoga bra it has a sporty edge, the straps cross over which is super cute and great if you want to wear it to work out in after baby is born. It also has ANTI-MICROBIAL: Silverbreeze™ technology that prevents the growth of odour-causing bacteria. Perfect for low impact exercise or just chasing around after children all day.

I really love the comfort, style and practical aspects of bravado bras. You can use them throughout pregnancy, into motherhood for nursing and once your journey is over you can easily convert the bra into a regular bra. Meaning they are long lasting and great value. The bra also washes really well and honestly still looks like new. A pregnancy must have in my eyes!

Have you tried Bravado?

21 Weeks Pregnant - Baby #3

This week baby girl is 7 inches long. She still has plenty of space inside the uterus to twist and turn. She will also be sleeping for up to 12-14 hours a day. She swallows a bit of amniotic fluid each day now and depending what I eat the fluid will taste of that.

This week my nausea is really bad. I'm still  on tablets so luckily not acting being sick but the nausea is a killer some days. Most of the time is 24/7, if it isn't then it just goes away after I've eaten and returns in a couple of hours. I've also felt really hungry this week. I do feel like I get quite full quite quickly though but it always only lasts an hour or so. I haven't craved much this week apart from apple pie and ice cream. Heartburn is my other main symptom. I'm still feeling loads of movements, some days more than others but I imagine she tires herself out!

Waist - 28.5, back to what it was at 19 weeks.
Belly - 33 inch, that's half an inch on last week.
Weight - +1lb so 8lbs so far overall.

Siblings - July

This month has flown by so quickly. I almost forgot all about the siblings linky. It just comes around so quickly.

This last month Paige and Parker are still the best of friends. They play even more and Parker imagination is amazing. They usually love playing with figures/teddies and making them talk but will play with just about anything and everything. Parker can be quite bossy at times and most of the times Paige just goes along with it. She can also be bossy so they kind of balance each other out.

Parker still adores Paige and repeats every work she says. She thinks it's so funny how he copies her. She is still an amazing big sister and is so loving towards Parker and bump.

This months picture was taken just as we were getting Parker up after his nap. Paige asked if she could wake him up and I said yes. She carefully opened his door and sat down next to this cot. She started stroking his arm while gently calling his name to wake him. He laid there for about 5 minutes just enjoying her stroking his arm.

They make my heart melt into a huge puddle. They are so sweet. I'm a little bit sad to lose it just being the two of them but so excited to see them with their baby sister and I get a few more months to enjoy just them both together.

20 Weeks Pregnant - Baby #3

This week the baby is around 6.5 inches. They also weigh around 10 ounces. The babies uterus is fully formed and she has tiny eggs in her ovaries which is quite crazy. Baby is swallowing fluid to help with her development and we actually baby girl doing this during our 20 week scan.

This week my uterus should reach my belly button, in actual fact it has been there for a few weeks now. I'm guessing because this is my third pregnancy and it stretched out a lot quicker. I'm glad it finally slowed down and is now where it should be. I'm still on my tablets, I don't think they will be going anytime soon. For the most part I normally start to feel a little off around 3-4pm so take my second tablet then. I have has some quite sicky mornings and evenings too but that's ok. I'm still feeling lots of movements and Mark is feeling her more regularly now which I love. Paige can't wait to feel her properly, she isn't really patient enough yet lol.

Waist- 28inch, smaller than last week.
Belly- 32.5 inch, 0.25 inch bigger than last week.
Weight- +1lb since last week. That seems to be really quite regular now. So overall I've gained 7lbs so far.

Thomas and Friends Babywear PJ Review

Kids always need pjs. More often than not they want them with their favourite character on and to be honest I don't mind. I think the character pjs are cute. But I also don't mind the character t shirts, their only young once!!

A few weeks ago we received these Thomas pjs for Parker to try out. We received the 18-24 month size and they fit really well. Parker has just gone 2 but is a little smaller and still wears 18-24 month pants so these are a perfect size. I was worried the tops would be too small but they aren't at all. He normally wears a bigger top than pants.

You get two sets starting from £7 which is a great deal. Both sets can be mixed and matched too. Meaning I don't have to worry about washing the exact same top and pants, I always end up missing one! Speaking of washing they've washed and dried really well.

They are super soft and cosy. Perfect for any Thomas fan.

We love them!! You can buy the new range from Tesco.

Do you let your children wear character pjs?

Pizza Express Review - #PizzaExpressIceAge

Want to know a secret? I've never eaten at Pizza Express. When we got asked if we wanted to review them I jumped at the chance. The table was booked for 5pm and we were hungry!!

When we arrived the restaurant was pretty quiet. The waitress just finished up with a table and then sat us down. She came over with menus and activity packs for the kids which they loved. We ordered drinks and were left to look at the menu for a few minutes.

For starters the kids got dough balls from the Piccolo menu which has a new Ice Age theme. Pizza Express are currently collaborating with Ice Age on the Piccolo menu for the new film Ice Age Collision Course which is out in cinemas now! Me and mark got garlic bread and garlic bread with mozzarella.

For mains the kids got the Piccolo American pizza and margherita pizza. Mark got the American pizza and added some extra toppings which you can do. I also got a pizza, margherita buffala, because you can't go to Pizza Express and not try the pizza.

I didn't know what to expect really but once the starters arrived they looked lovely. All were served really well. They both then gobbled them up. Me and mark finished our garlic breads too. They were nice and I'd eat them again but they didn't have much flavour. They were a lovely size though.

The table was cleared and 10 minutes later our mains arrived. Mark loved his. The waitress recommend a spicy sausage that mark particularly enjoyed. Paige and Parkers pizzas looked yummy. Paige ate half a pizza and said she enjoyed it. I think she was a little full up from the dough balls. Parker only ate a little but he can be fussy! We also ordered a side of potato nocciola because they didn't serve chips. They were really yummy and the kids liked them too.

The table was cleared and we were brought the menu again to order deserts. There was a bit of a rush around 6:30pm so we were left waiting a little bit but the waitress apologised for the wait. The deserts arrived and were really good. Paige had ice cream, Parker had brownie, Mark had cheesecake and I had the chocolate glory. The deserts were my favourite part of the meal, they always are though! They were good portion sizes and really yummy. The children also got a bambinoccino with there's.  After we'd finished we were left waiting for a good 15 minutes and the kids were getting grumpy so I decided to hunt down the waitress rather than wait longer for her to come to us.

The staff were friendly and really nice. Always had a smile on their faces. There is plenty to choose from on the adults menu and I'd love to try something different next time. They cater for children really well. The activity packs and hats were a lovely addition and kept the kids entertained while we waited for food. Paige loves the new
Pizza Express Ice Age theme and the little activity sheet kept her busy. There was also plenty on there for older children, we just helped Paige when she needed it! The children can also enter a competition to win some great prizes.

20 Week Scan - Baby #3

The 2o week scan in any pregnancy always feels like such a big milestone. They check so many things all over the baby and make sure that everything is growing like it should. I am very thankful that with everyone of my 20 week scans they have never found anything of concern.

The scan absolutely amaze me though and the detail is crazy.

This time around Paige came with me as Mark had to stay and watch Parker, the appointment was right in the middle of naptime.

We arrived for the scan after I had drank all my water. I was nervous, I always am. I think its just the worry about something being wrong. We had a 25 minute wait as they were running a little behind. Paige was such a good girl waiting for was starting to get bored.

They called us in and I laid down. As soon as the probe touches your belly and you see your baby it really is the best feeling. The lady started her measurements and had such a good look at baby girl. I actually told her that we didn't know the sex so that she could confirm that she was in fact a girl. Bany girl had her legs crossed so tightly that we almost couldn't check but the lady was so lovely. I was tipped up on the bed and had a good wiggle around on my belly and baby girl finally opened her legs enough so that we could see those 3 white lines that indicate a girl. The lady did check a good few times just to be sure.

All the other measurements were perfect and right on track. We had a big of trouble having a look at baby girls spine but again she finally moved for us to see.
We saw babies hands, feet, legs, arms, brain, heart, spine and even the lenses in her eyes. The lady really zoomed in so we could see everything in such amazing detail. We saw all four chambers of her heart and could see the valves opening and closing. We saw baby girl swallowing fluid and her little tongue.

I don't think Paige could make out a lot of things but she loved seeing baby girls hands, feet and face.

Her little nose and lips were so sweet. The lady kept commenting that she was showing them off and pouting.

My placenta is posterior but is hooked around the front slightly, not a problem at all as baby girls exit is clear so no problems there. Everything else she measured and saw was perfect.

I still find it so strange that there is a perfect but tiny human in my belly.

I can't wait to meet her.

How was your 20 week scan?

19 Weeks Pregnant - Baby #3

This week baby is around six inches from crown to rump and half a pound in weight. Arms and legs are in proportion, neurons are now connected between brain and muscles and cartilage is turning into bone. This means baby can control their movements a lot more. Vernix is also starting to cover and coat baby to help protect their skin.

This week I managed to come off my tablets completely, for one day. Then spent the next 3 recovering and paying for it. My body coped well and gave me such hope that it might be time to finally come off my tablets but no such luck. I spent the next day being sick and not keeping much down so I had to start taking them again. I don't mind taking them if it means me and baby are ok but I hope I'm not on them for my entire pregnancy. I'm also ill this week with a lovely cough and cold from Paige. I've had more heartburn and felt hungry again. Still feeling loads of movements, she does still have some quieter days. Mark also felt her kick for the first time this week, about time as I started feeling her 8 weeks ago! We also had our 20 week scan this week and I shall update more on that soon.

Waist: 28.5
Belly: 32.25 - smaller than last week, guessing that's because of the sickness.
Weight: +4 from 15 weeks. Overall I'm up 6lbs.
