Me and Mine - November

We are now a family of five. It still very surreal. I can't believe she is actually here. Harleigh arrived on November 17th after an amazing water birth. More on that in my birth story if you fancy a read.
Mark has had two weeks off work and we have all loved having him at home. Harleigh has fitted in perfectly and we are all enjoying this newborn bubble. I don't want it to end.
Both Paige and Parker are amazing with Harleigh and love her so much. It's so amazing to watch them all together. I feel so lucky.
This months picture was taken on our third wedding anniversary. It's so strange to think that this time last year I wasn't even pregnant and now we have a new little baby. Every year on our anniversary we always take a picture holding the previous years picture. Its so lovely to see how much everyone changes in a year. Harleigh was 4 days old.
I can't wait for the next few months. I'm already dreading how quickly they will go but I am so excited for our first Christmas as a five and for us to get to know Harleigh better and watch her grow, change and develop.
It makes me want to cry thinking about how fast the next few months will fly but I am trying to soak it up as much as I can.

Mummy and Me - November

I'm a mummy of THREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still can't quite believe that baby girl is here. Harleigh is now 10 days old. She has fitted in perfectly and I feel so lucky.
It still doesn't feel quite real that she is here. I feel like my pregnancy flew by. I was in denial that I was actually in labour. She arrived 6 days early but I was convinced that she would be late.
Paige and Parker have taken to her so well. I am so proud of them both, especially Parker. We knew that Paige would adore her as she adores Parker and is such a good big sister to him. With Parker we weren't 100% sure how he would react but he is amazing with Harleigh. If she cries he will walk over to her, stroke her head and shhhh her. Nine out of ten times he actually calms her too! They both love helping us look after her and of course cuddling her.
I don't want this newborn bubble to end.

Baby girl is HERE!

Harleigh Rose decided to make her appearance into the world 6 days early at 39+1. She arrived at 2:20am on November 17th weighing 6lb 14oz. We had an amazing water birth and i'll be back with our labour and delivery story soon but for now I'm soaking up these precious newborn days.

39 Weeks Pregnant - Baby #3

This week baby girl is all set for birth. She is around 19-21 inches long and weighs around 7-8 pounds. She knows my voice and her brain is developing more each day.

This week only lasted a day! I went into labour in the evening that I turned 39 weeks. I'd had a midwife appointment the day before and was told that the midwife didn't think that labour was imminent. My symptoms didn't really change from the previous week.

Waist - 30.5 inches, no change.
Belly - 39 inches, no change.
Weight - 2 stone gain

39 Week Midwife Appointment

Hopefully this was my last midwife appointment. My next is scheduled for 41 weeks so I'm hoping that baby girl will arrive before then, if she doesn't I will be offered a sweep.

This appointment was very short and brief. The midwife checked my blood pressure and urine, all was fine! She had a quick feel of my belly. Baby is still head down with her back on my left side. She isn't engaged but the midwife said that third babies don't tend to engage until labour is very close or has started. So strange to me as Paige was engaged quite early on and Parker engaged early too and then arrived at 38+3.

I am still measuring 3 weeks behind at 36cm. She said that baby girl doesn't feel worryingly small but doesn't feel huge either. She's predicting 7lb something still.

Now its all just a waiting game of when I will go into labour. I really hope I don't make my 41 week appointment but only time will tell. If I do I will more than likely have the sweep as I want to avoid induction plus I'd be curious to know if I'm dilated or not.

Review - V Tech Toot Toot Friends Enchanted Princess Palace

Paige loves anything and everything to do with princesses, in fact so does Parker. Whenever Paige wears a skirt or dress he loves to call her a princess!

The V Tech Toot Toot Friends Enchanted Princess Palace is the perfect toy for them both to play with together. Aimed at children who are between 1 and 5 years old Paige and Parker fit the age range perfectly. The Palace comes with one princess called Darla. You can purchase extras too! If extras are purchased they will talk and sing to each other.

There are five MagicPoint locations which help bring the kingdom and Princess Darla to life. Just like many other V Tech toys the kingdom is also really encouraging for children and helps them learn and explore. The gate open and closes, there's a fun swing and lift to play with, items to turn and buttons to press.

The kingdom is pretty big so you will need a lot of space to play with it but it does fold in on itself for easier storage. Getting the kingdom out of the box and setting it up took quite a while. There are a lot of pieces and you also have to add each sticker individually which takes a while. The kingdom does look pretty amazing once all put together though!

It really is a toy that can keep children entertained for a long time. There is so much to do. Paige and Parker both really enjoy playing with the kingdom. It comes with a few accessories including a bed, mirror and harp for Princess Darla. I would like to see a few more accessories but overall think it's great.

I love that there's plenty for children to do. They can take Princess Darla up in a lift, open the front doors, push Darla on a swing and make the fountains spin around. I love the MagicPoints as it rally does help to bring the kingdom and Darla to life! You can also attach other Toot-Toot items to the kingdom. Parker has a lot of the track and loves to attach that to the kingdom and pretend the cars are calling in at the palace.

Overall a great toy for any child between 1-5 years old. Although set up can take a while it is worth it! I love all the fun bright colours too.

A perfect gift this Christmas!!

Baby Buys #4

My due date is getting closer and closer and I think we almost have everything for baby girl now.
First up is this cute little baby book from Sticky Bellies, we also have the mile stone stickers for when baby girl arrives too!
Next up are some clothes from Matalan. We never really visit Matalan but I'd seen some gorgeous things on their website and just had to pop in.

I can't wait to see baby girl in that little dress. So sweet!! We also picked up some socks as she didn't have any at all!

I also fell in love with this changing mat from Matalan. At only £8 I think it was a bargain too.

Next up is baby girls car seat and pram! Two quite big things that are essentials! The car seat we have for baby girl is the Kiddy UK Evo Luna iSize in racing black. We were sent this to review and I can't wait to use it. With Parker we used the Kiddy Evo Luna car seat and did a review for that one too. We loved that one so I can't wait to try out the new one.

We were also sent the gorgeous Britax Affinity 2 in black to review. We've had a little play around already and I am so excited to use it. With nursery and school runs it will be getting plenty of use and I can't wait to see what its like. Keep your eyes out for a review.

Don't forget to check out my other baby buy posts. The first, second and third.

Lidl Winter Baby Range

If you are a regular reader of my blog you will remember that back in September I featured some of the gorgeous items from the 100% organic cotton baby range at Lidl. This range started at just £1.49 and they were some gorgeous, great quality pieces.

Lidl is now launching their Lupilu Winter Baby Collection. The range is available from the 17th November and I'm sure it will be just as popular as the organic range. It will feature super soft fleece jackets, knitted jumpers, all in ones, long sleeved tops, hats and more.

With Christmas coming up it can be an expensive time of year but with the Lidl Lupilu Winter Baby range you can put together a super cute, warm outfit for under £10 as prices start from just £1.49 again. Such lovely quality at great prices!

The range is available in sizes 2-24 months and is available while stocks last.

This cute fleece onesie is only £4.99.

Two long sleeved tops for £3.99.

Hat £1.99

Tights £1.49

Fleece Jumper £3.99

Knitted dress £3.99
I think you have to agree they have some super cute pieces at great prices!
Have you ever bought baby clothes from Lidl before?

38 Weeks Pregnant - Baby #3

Baby girls eyes and hair now have colour. She could be almost 7lbs in weight and 19.5 inches long. All of her organs are functioning on their own. The uterus now weighs 2 and a half pounds and was once only 2 ounces!

This week I'm sleeping a little better. My heartburn is still awful, I won't miss that. I've had a lot of pinching feelings this week, really low down. I've also had even more Braxton hicks this week. I feel like baby girl has also dropped a little more, I'm hoping she stays put for  little while yet though. This week I caught a stomach bug and almost got admitted to hospital twice, I am so not ready to have baby girl. Really hope she waits until closer to her due date. I don't have any energy from the bug and no strength left.

Waist - 30.5 inches, no change
Belly - 39 inches, no change

Siblings - November

This really will be the last month of  just these two.
Brother and sister.
Together as a team of two.
That will no longer be. My due date is NEXT WEEK! Their baby sister could come at any time.
Are they ready? Who knows.
This past month was fairly easy until recently. Two weekends ago Parker got a stomach bug and it's yet to leave the house. I've suffered the most and almost ended up in hospital... TWICE! It's always awful seeing your children ill but they were so brave.
Paige knows about the baby and we've told her that soon she won't be in my belly anymore but I don't think she quite realises just how soon. This pregnancy must of felt so long to her as she is so excited. I don't think she fully grasps that the end is very, very close.
Parker has no idea. He knows the baby is in my belly but has no clue that soon she will be coming out. I've tried to introduce baby items over the house for him to get used to seeing so hopefully that is helping him a little.
I can't wait to see them as a three but I'm going to miss just the two of them. Of course there will still be times it will be just them two but adding another little person into the sibling mix is both so exciting and a little scary.
This months pictures are a bit of a fail to be honest. I really wanted to get some lovely ones this past weekend but because me and Paige were ill we didn't get chance. I had to work with what I had. The first is from bonfire night, Parker wasn't well so we stayed home and daddy did some fireworks in the garden. Both the kids loved it and loved snuggling up together.
This second picture is actually in my planner. I really wanted an updated one and love how it turned out.
I can't wait to see them with baby girl and see them as a three but I will miss my two as a two.

Review - Merino Kids

Merino Kids isn't a brand that I'd not heard of before so when they got in touch I was very excited to work with them on a review and check out their items. We were sent the Merino long sleeved pyjamas for Parker in the colour Banbury.

The pyjamas are made from 100% superfine Merino wool and feel amazing. They are so soft and feel amazing. They look super comfortable which is something you really want for a pair of pyjamas, kids can have a lot of trouble sleeping for many reasons and uncomfortable pyjamas shouldn't be one of them!

They are also allergy-safe and non synthetic. The pyjamas are hypoallergenic so perfect if your child suffers from eczema or sensitive skin. The Merino wool actually regulates body temperature so that the child won't wake up too hot or too cold. This makes them perfect all year round. The pyjamas will keep them cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

I love the crossover neck design. This means that the fabric stays clear of their face for safer sleeping. The long sleeves are perfect for keeping your child warm. The trousers have more of a slim fit which is perfect as you can use the pyjamas as a base layer when its really cold. Meaning they have a double purpose!

The colours are gorgeous and you have such a wide variety to pick from. I think the pyjamas look very classic and smart. Parker is wearing the 2-3 years size. He is almost 2 and a half and they fit him perfectly. He still has a little growing room but they aren't too big that he can't wear them.

I love the little added details on the pyjamas. They have the little logo on the back and on a small label on the trousers. This keeps them pyjamas very simple but this adds to the beauty in my eyes. I do think they are gorgeous pyjamas and Parker looks so sweet in them.

Overall we absolutely love the Merino Kids pyjamas. They are so comfortable, look super cute and very safe for sleeping.

Is your children's sleepwear important to you?

Secret Saviour Anti Stretch Mark Band, Cream and Gel

I don't think that stretch marks are something that any pregnant lady ever wants, they are just seen as apart of pregnancy that you can't really do much about. Some people love them and some hate them.
Secret Saviours is a brand that is wanting to change that! It was developed by a vascular surgeon and is scientifically proven to help prevent or significantly reduce stretch marks during pregnancy. In the kit there is a specially designed Anti Stretch Mark Band, a Day Gel and Night Cream. They work together to keep the skin moisturised, soft, smooth and supple while the band helps to support the skin. The band has a random pattern of pads to effectively provide a protective barrier that can help smaller tissue tears from turning into bigger stretch marks.
So, did it help me?
The band is available in different sizes which is great as there will be one to fit almost anyone. It's available in black or pink. It is very supportive for bump and across the lower back. The pads on the inside took a little while for me to get used to them, they feel a little strange at first. They also leave a mark after wearing the band for a long period of time. They can also be seen under some clothing so you might want to be careful what items you wear over the top. But the band is comfortable to wear and supportive.

The cream and gel are nice. They smell gorgeous but it is quite a strong smell so won't be for everyone. I personally prefer the night cream over the day gel. I feel like it sinks into the skin better and leaves my skin feeling amazing. The day gel takes longer to sink in and feels a little uncomfortable on my skin. I couldn't use it without using the band over the top. Both are thick and feel very luxurious. They do keep my skin well moisturised and supple.

Are you worried about stretch marks? Do you use any specially designed creams to try prevent them?
