Me and Mine - March 2018

I can hardly believe that tomorrow is April! After a really long January, February and March have flown by. This month we've had so much fun. We had Mothers Day, a trip to the beach and a trip to the Yorkshire Dales.

We are very much looking forward to the warming weather and getting outside more together. We've spent a lot more time outside this month and all the kids have loved it but it is still pretty chilly out there! We are meant to get snow in the next day or so.

The Easter holidays have just started. We are starting with a five day weekend with daddy at home too, my birthday is on Tuesday and i'm hoping we will have a nice family day.

After that we don't have too much planned for April, I hoping for some lovely lazy days in the holidays.

Our pictures these month are from our trip to the beach and our little trip to the Yorkshire Dales, we went to visit my mum, isn't the background just amazing?! And the sun was shining!!

Mummy and Me - March 2018

Another month and a really fun month. We’ve had a few trips out and even a night away, only to my mums but it’s nice to break routine.

I am so excited for spring and summer. I can’t wait! We’ve had a couple of really lovely days and it’s made me crave more! I’m sick of all the snow and rain now, although we are meant to get some around Easter and my birthday!

The kiddos seem to have grown so much this month. We’ve had a few illnesses, parents evening, Mother’s Day and snow days!

These pictures were taken in Blackpool on Mothers Day. Our first trip of the year! Harleigh loved it, all the children did but she loved running around and I just love these pictures. We ate chips and doughnuts and played on arcades. It was such a wonderful day.

Harleigh - 16 Months Old

Not long after her first steps last month Harleigh started walking full time, she very very rarely crawls now and is getting more confident at walking outside. She even walked to pick Parker up from nursery. She also started walking backwards, it was so funny to watch how carefully she was doing it. She also loves

to climb, the stairs and on top of baskets/chairs. She's a little cheeky monkey!

She is such a sweet character though, she will constantly give kisses and wave at people. She is still obsessed with Millie, even more so now she can walk around after her.

She doesn't talk a lot but has said "more" three times, she tends to say a word then not use it for a while then she will say it more. just like she did with mummy and daddy. She will also call Mark "dad".  she still hasn't said "bye" or "narna" again either.

She has all four of her 1 year molars now and it was terrible. She's had such a rough time with them. The first one cut over a month ago and still isn't fully cut now. The fourth cut this last weekend and is almost all through. She was really grumpy with them, had a fever of 38.8c and didn't sleep unless we were holding her. I'm really hoping we are over the worst. so she now has 11 teeth, we are still waiting for her bottom lateral incisor, just like Paige. She naps have also been terrible too.

She still loves her milk and food and bananas are still one of her favourite things ever.

She also got a little hair cut this week and now has a little fringe, it's so cute! Her hair is getting so long and she even had a plait in it the other day.

She is getting really good at following instructions, for example the other day I asked her to go get me her sock and bring it to me and she did.

Only two more months until she is 1.5 years old. Its going so fast, too fast.

Siblings - March 2018

I can not wait for spring to come, to be outside more and have loads of adventures with our three. Harleigh is now walking everywhere, including outside. It is so lovely to see the kids relationship developing even more as she is more and more able to do the same things they can.

I have loved taking pictures of them all together, Its so nice to have Harleigh walking. The first picture is from a birthday party they were all invited to, they all had so much fun and loved getting a little bit dressed up.

On Mother's Day we went to the seaside and the rest of the pictures are from there. They had so much fun running around on the beach together. They all absolutely loved it. Harleigh would shout if Paige and Parker got too far away from her, it was so cute.

I can't wait for some nicer weather and more adventures together. I still find it so amazing seeing all three of them together.

Mother's Day 2018

In true Harleigh style she was awake for almost 2 hours at 4am on Mother’s Day. A great start to the day. I did manage to get back to bed but after an already rubbish nights sleep I didn’t feel too great waking up.

The kids were so excited and I have no idea what was planned, if anything. I was greeted upon waking with cards and presents. The kids had made some lovely things at school and nursery and daddy had picked out some lovely things which included a giant bar of Galaxy chocolate, which is the best! After a much needed cuppa we all headed upstairs to get ready. It was my choice what we did so I picked the seaside. We haven’t been in so long and we all love it.

We got to Blackpool around 10:45am and headed straight for the arcades. I won a Minnie Mouse teddy and the kids had so much fun on the machines. We then headed to the beach and had a lovely walk looking at shells and going under the pier. Harleigh loved walking around with Paige and Parker. She kept shouting at them if they got to far away.

We then had some chips and went for a walk along the promenade before heading back to the arcades and then to get doughnuts.

We headed home and daddy cooked a lovely dinner, a lovely end to an amazing day. Mother's Day can be really hard for some people and I totally understand that but it is lovely to have a day just to make you feel a little bit special.

Did you have a lovely day?

Snow In March

The snow last week really messed things up. Just for added comedy value our boiler also broke the same day we got the heavy snow.

I walked in from picking Parker up from nursery and saw the ceiling dripping with water, just what we needed with 8-10 inches of snow!!! Paige got sent home early from school which in itself was a huge nightmare. As well as pushing the pram in all that snow.

So then we had a leaking ceiling, wet stairs carpet and three kiddos at home. Paige was so upset that school has to close. She said she loved school more than home, thanks kiddo! I am so glad she loves school though. The snow also meant postponing world book day, cancelling rainbows and postponing Paige's school trip to a wild life park.

It took a week for the boiler guy to get to us. During that time we lost heating and hot water twice, whilst it was -5 outside! We have a bowl under the boiler that needs emptying throughout the night unless it overflows and comes through the ceiling again. The kids also had hand, foot and mouth so the little two were barely sleeping. there were nights when them alone would be up 10 plus times each, add into that the fact we having to keep empty the bowl and it was a nightmare. Once whilst emptying the bowl mark accidentally woke harleigh up, it took her two hours to fall back asleep.

The snow wasn't all that bad, we had so much fun. We only went out in it twice because it was just too cold. When we did go out we had snowball fights and built a snowman, the kids loved it.

I am very much looking forward to spring now, some sunshine, warmer weather and most importantly no snow!
